How I cleared the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam with 98% on my first attempt! 🚀💻
Special thanks to Mumshad Mannambeth founder of KodeKloud, and Kim Wüstkamp of Killer Shell for their comprehensive course and practice tests, which were instrumental in preparing me for this accomplishment.
✨ If you’re gearing up for the CKA exam, here’s a roadmap that worked for me:
1️⃣ I highly recommend Mumshad’s course on Udemy. Dive deep into the course material until you’ve grasped all the concepts.
2️⃣ Utilize the KodeKloud lab included with the Udemy course. Practice until you feel confident enough to tackle all the labs and mock exams. Aim to complete 8 questions in 1 hour from the mock exams and lightning lab.
3️⃣ Take advantage of the 2 free simulator sessions offered by Killer Shell that come as part of the exam registration. These sessions are tougher than the actual exam but provide invaluable practice. I personally found them immensely helpful. I used one session over the weekend (each session is valid for 36 hours only) just a day before my exam. It truly simulates the exam terminal experience.
4️⃣ Master the kubectl imperative commands using the handy cheat sheet provided here. This page can also be referred during the exam as it is from the official Kubernetes documentation.
5️⃣ Don’t spend much time on setting up the variables. May be you can try what I usually do:
export do=" - dry-run=client -o yaml" (to create a dry run yaml file)
